The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) was established in 2009 by an Act of Parliament (Act No. 25 of 2009) with the objective of developing a nationally and internationally recognized institution of higher education. Envisioned as one of India’s most dynamic and vibrant universities, CURAJ is committed to delivering cutting-edge education, interdisciplinary learning, and socially relevant research. Fully funded by the Government of India, the University strives to ensure equitable access to quality education, particularly for students from diverse and socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

CURAJ has grown into a multidisciplinary university with a robust academic structure comprising 13 Schools and 35 academic departments. The University offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes across disciplines including technology, natural sciences, humanities, social sciences, commerce, management, and public policy. With a strong focus on scientific inquiry, technological advancement, and social development, CURAJ promotes academic excellence, innovation, and research-driven learning.

For the academic session 2026–27, the University has launched the Central University of Rajasthan Admission Portal – 2026 to facilitate admissions to all UG, PG, and Ph.D. programmes. The portal is designed to provide a single-window, transparent, and user-friendly platform, ensuring equal opportunities for all eligible candidates and streamlining the admission process in accordance with national standards.

The University has commenced receiving applications for various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral programmes, inviting aspiring students from across the country to become part of CURAJ’s vibrant academic and research community.
